21st Congress of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology 2006

Abstract Submission

The Organising Committee invites participants to submit abstracts for the following:

Free Paper Presentation

A selection of abstracts will be accepted for oral presentations in the Free Paper sessions. Presenters will be given 8 minutes to present their research findings and 2 minutes for discussion.

Poster Presentation

Participants are also encouraged to submit their work as Poster Presentation, an interactive style of presentation that promotes direct exchange of ideas between the presenter and the delegates.

Scientific Video Presentation

Medical Illustrations with audio-visual elements can be submitted for Scientific Video Presentation. The video should be no more than 10 minutes in duration, including a 30 – 40 seconds introduction by the authors involved.

Instruction Course / Skill Transfer Workshop

Participants are encouraged to submit a course outline for instruction courses or skill transfer workshops. As sessions are limited, an elected panel and the APAO council would specially select all courses/workshops. The objective of this segment is to encourage varied and yet quality course structures which will enhance the scientific content of the overall programme for the benefit of the participants.

•	Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the APAO Congress 2006 website at www.apao2006.com from 15 November 2005.

•	All free paper/ poster/ video/ instruction course/ skill transfer workshop abstracts must be received by 31 January 2006. Abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.

•	All supporting Videos must be received by 30 January 2006. Video abstracts received after this date will not be accepted.
